Thank you for taking a moment to learn more about SHINE Together and Project 66.

In 2013, SHINE Together began as a vision — a dream carried by our founder and CEO, Shana Peacock. Her heart was to reach further, serve deeper, and impact more lives than she ever imagined possible.
Not knowing where the journey would lead, she stepped forward in faith, placing her complete trust in God.

Project 66 is a program where Shine Together brings fully stocked grocery stores to high schools across Johnson County and the surrounding areas — all run entirely by students.
There is no charge for the food, and no questions are asked about family income. Every student has access to what they need in a safe, supportive, and dignified environment.
Our incredible volunteers deliver food directly to the schools we serve. Each school store is equipped with commercial freezers, refrigerators, and shelving provided by Shine Together — giving students the space and tools they need to run their stores successfully.
We make all of this possible through the generosity of community donations and the passion of our volunteers, who believe in giving students a hand up, not a handout.

Serving, Helping, Inspiring....No one Excluded

SHINE Started Growing

As the need grew, so did our mission.

Believing SHINE was meant for more, we became officially registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Today, SHINE Together serves youth and families throughout Johnson County and surrounding communities. We are currently are meeting the food insecurities of more than 650 high school students.

Since August 2023, thanks to generous partners and volunteers, we have been able to provide:

50,000+ meals
$10,000+ in gift cards for student needs
$70,000+ in food items donated to local food banks and pantries

Every meal matters. Every student matters.
And together, we are making sure no student goes without the essentials they need to SHINE.
