OUR PROJECTS
Project 66
SHINE Together works with high schools in surrounding counties to meet the food insecurities of the students that are considered "homeless". By providing healthy and nutritious meals, we aim to ensure that no student goes hungry. From lunch on Friday to breakfast on Monday morning we help feed students during that 66 hour gap.
We believe that food is a basic human right and strive to make sure that every student has access to it.
We are currently in 10 high schools, and have opened our very first, student ran, FREE grocery store in 2 local high schools!
With your help, we hope to grow and reach more schools and students!
Christmas
Wishes
With the help of our supporters, we have been able to make a significant impact in the lives of several families at Christmas time. Each year we encourage our followers to nominate families in need of a little extra help around the holidays.
Once all submissions are in, our Board of Directors spend the evening shopping for all these deserving families, not just the kids, but mom, dad and grandparents too.
We want to make sure everyone in the house is taken care of!
Prom Closet
Our Prom Closet is completely free to our high school students!
All dresses, jewelry, suits, and accessories are graciously donated, and then professionally cleaned by one of our partnered Dry-Cleaners in Cleburne.
Students contact us during prom season, homecoming, and formal events to schedule a time to come by SHINE Together to try on dresses in hopes of finding the perfect one!
Students fill out a form and take the items with the agreement that they are returned after the event.
